Adoption is an option

If you are faced with an unplanned pregnancy, adoption could be a good option for you and your baby. Please consider giving your baby the best chance at life.

Adoption is an option!

You can choose adoption at any time during your pregnancy, however the sooner you have a plan in place, the more time you will have to choose the family for your baby.  Of course, you will have preferences as to the kind of family you want to raise your child.  You will get the opportunity to meet and interview your prospective families before deciding on the right one for your baby.

Marriage

Being married doesn’t make an unplanned pregnancy any less stressful, but it may make it more manageable.  Instead of navigating the waters by yourself, you have a partner to support you.  If you are considering marriage as an option for your unplanned pregnancy, be certain your relationship is grounded on a solid foundation of trust, respect, love, and commitment for life.  A baby can test even the strongest relationship because they require extra time, attention, money, and

Single Parenting

Becoming a single parent can feel overwhelming if you don’t have a good support system in place.  Although children are a huge blessing and bring their parents love and joy, you must prepare yourself for the reality of raising them. Children require time, attention, financial sacrifices, and can be emotionally challenging at times. If you are going to do this on your own, make sure you have back up when you need it.

We understand that there is no easy choice.  A lot of thought and prayer will no doubt go into your decision. Giving your baby the gift of a great life is the most unselfish gift you could ever give them. Your courage during this scary time will give your baby everything they need to have a wonderful life.

adoption

Adoption is not easy. Yes you will cry, and yes you will have doubts. These emotions are 100% normal.  Choosing adoption for your baby is the most loving, selfless choice you can give them when you are not in a situation that will allow you to give your best to a baby. It takes a strong woman full of courage to make this choice – taking yourself out of the equation and thinking of what’s best for the baby at this particular moment in time.  The good news is that you get to hand-pick the family that adopts your baby. You can pick a family that is longing for a baby of their own to love, who has something in common with you, who YOU feel confident and comfortable with.  At DeColores, we have been through this process ourselves, and we understand  what you are going through.  We will be here to hold your hand and guide you every step of the way.  You will get to meet the parents, talk with them, and if you desire, they will keep you updated as your child grows.  You will have the confidence of knowing that you did the best you could for your baby at the time and give them the best shot at life that you could.
